    Carrying the frequency of heaven

    In Christ October 9, 2022

I believe that unless we begin to see the grace of Jesus Christ inside us as something real and tangible, we’ll never amount to much in Gods kingdom. Paul says we are seated IN Christ, and IN Christ we are a new creation. He keeps using this phrase, IN Christ, over and over, trying to make a point. Trying to get it deep inside us, because it is so essential.

Jesus said, (John 10:10):I came to give you life!  And in Romans 6:5, Paul explains this life: For if we have become one with Him [permanently united] in the likeness of His death, we will also certainly be [one with Him and share fully] in the likeness of His resurrection.” Share FULLY. When we are one with Jesus, we share fully in His likeness. Fully identified in Christ, fully created in His image and likeness. His life? Is now our life. We are raised to live in a new place, a new location. Those whom Jesus justified He also glorified raising us to a heavenly state of being. This is true, very very true, but sadly many believers live as if the past life, the one they’ve been rescued from is more real.

Freedom from the darkness and transformed into His marvelous light IS our reality. But why isn’t it real in our hearts and lives? For many, it’s because we haven’t renewed our mind. Romans 12:2 tells us that we have to be transformed and that transformation only comes by the renewing of our mind. Then and only then will we know what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. You might ask, How is it possible to know the will of God? Good question. Once again the answer lies in the renewal of the mind. See, the natural man/mind cannot perceive or understand the things of God, for God is a spirit and those who seek to know and worship Him must do so IN spirit. For the natural mind, the things of God are foolishness for the spiritual things are beyond its comprehension. When our mind is being renewed to the things of God it’s actually His very mind that we are coming to know. His mindset becomes our own and slowly but surely we find that this transforms us, and it’s not from the outside inward, but from the inside out. Real and true. That leads us right back to our question at the top: Why isn’t His reality our own? The answer? Just ask yourself how much time you have spent today, this week, this month, getting to know the mind of God, and you’ll have your answer.

The question is: do we want to be transformed? Transformation doesn’t come without birthing pains. Yes, I said that. Any new birth is not without its pains. The new birth of man required the pain of the cross for the only begotten Son of God. In Christ and because of Christ, our spirit( which is the new man) is brand new! But we are not just spirit, we are also soul and body. The spirit might be new but our soul( our mind, will, emotions) needs to be trained to become new. Our heart and mind need to let go of old habits and put on the new clothes/ habits of the new man. If we want to grow in this spirit realm, it will require sacrifice and giving up on self-minded ambitions. It requires the death of the old. Jesus said it’s impossible to put new wine into an old wine skin. The old can not contain the life of the new wine, it would split apart. We can’t hold on to the old habits and think we’ll advance in the kingdom of God. It’s double-minded thinking and the Bible says a double minded man is like the waves of the sea, tossed about with every wind and unstable in all his ways.(James 1 :6-8)

I pray that we will come to the point where we discover that we are quite literally located IN Christ. That is our home. That is our foundation. That is where we come from...in any situation, any time of the day, IN CHRIST is the place we come from, attack from and live out from. I don’t know in how many different ways it could be said, but it bears repeating until it clicks as truth inside of us. Daily I remind myself that as a born again believer, I am a new creation. Old things HAVE passed away, behold all things HAVE become new. God has blessed and enriched us with a brand new identity, a brand new spirit. It’s worth reminding ourself and celebrating it.

Here’s a thought. We carry the very frequency of heaven with us. Everywhere you go, you bring the vibrancy of Jesus into that place and situation. Jesus is full of grace and glory, full of all of heavens riches. Think about what is reality in heaven. Is there peace and joy? Is there hope and love? Is there courage and wisdom? Is there mercy and forgiveness? These are all in Jesus and if He is with you..you carry the frequency of heaven. That makes me smile. It makes me feel empowered. How about you?

Just as a side note: all that exists in this universe vibrates at its own unique frequency, from your dna to the stars that fill our galaxies. The plants, the earth, it all has a frequency. Which is amazing and all together another subject, but..here’s my point. Emotions have a frequency as well. Our thoughts and emotions carry a frequency, a vibration. One scientist states that thoughts are electric and emotions are magnetic. Literally, emotions are energy at work. When I first discovered this, I was utterly captivated.

See, emotions like peace, joy and love have a high energy or frequency. These are healing and good energy. Negative thoughts and emotions have a low vibration, which also have negative impact on our bodies. For instance research has shown if we are operating in fear, worry or anger, the body experiences contraction and even cellular destruction. Anger especially is the most damaging, because of how much it effects the heart and our heart is a powerhouse, supplying energy to the whole body.  Proverbs 4 reads: guard your heart above all else for it is the source of life. The word source in this verse is interesting. Our heart can be seen as a source of energy! It would greatly benefit us though if it were a God-filled source of energy, giving out the vibrancy of peace, joy, hope, love, kindness and goodness. We are able in Christ to carry the frequencies of heaven and impact the world around us. Isn’t that something truly amazing? So let us go forth and let our light shine!

““You are salt for the Land. But if salt becomes tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except being thrown out for people to trample on. “You are light for the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Likewise, when people light a lamp, they don’t cover it with a bowl but put it on a lampstand, so that it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.” ‭‭Mattityahu (Matt)‬ ‭5:13-16‬ ‭CJB‬‬
