    Not in a hurry

Father God, have I said thank you for relationships? Especially relationship with you. I guess I so often take for granted the people in my life that I forget the gift each one is. Help me to take moments to praise, moments to purely enjoy relationships. To take time to just be with others and with You without an agenda. Help me to take joy in my moments with You, to not hurry but to enjoy each minute. I know that relationships here on earth are a mere reflection of the relationship you long to have with each of us. I think of how precious it is to sit and share face to face and heart to heart with friends. Giving and receiving. This is also your heart for me and to me. You have endless wisdom You want to impart with me. You have comfort, you have encouragement, you have soul satisfying words. I pray for a hunger and thirst for more of You, a longing for closer relationship. I pray for a heart that sees You and smiles. I ask to be completely overwhelmed by your presence. Oh Lord, may I have a heart and soul that’s not in a hurry when it comes to being with you. I want to be in each moment, to live focused in and on You. Remind me of that first love, that “you are everything to me and I’ll do anything to be with you” kind of love. Awaken that in me, in us; may we carry it with us as we live each moment. We were made to be and live in relationship with you. You are the one our heart desires and with you we find home. A place to belong. You are glorious and perfect. You are. Thank you, Abba. In Jesus Name I come and say, Amen.
